Has anyone tried RTE 8.6 run time engine on Windows 7 ?

LabVIEW 8.6 is not officially supported on Windows 7. It might work, it might not. That's assuming you can actually get it installed. Search the forum and you will see this issue has come up many times over the past few months.

 

LabVIEW 2009 is officially supported for Windows 7.
