Why does my "pict ring" not work under windows 98?

I created an application that has 4 Pict Ring objects that have been customized so that only the picture contained within the pict ring is visible. I then build and application exe file and install files. I install on windows 98 and all appears just fine except I dont see my pict rings. Tested on two windows 98 computers both failed to show the pict ring. Tested on one XP and one Windows 2000 computer and both worked fine. The only difference between the XP/2000 systems and the 98 systems is the XP/2000 had full version of Labview installed. The 98 systems have only the run time engine.

Any ideas? All my clients computers are Windows 98. Id greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Check you color depth (i.e. 16 bit color), graphic acceleration and driver updates. I have never heard of one of these graphic related issues being due to LV.

Check if the libraries lvjpeg.dll and lvpng.dll have been installed with the Run-Time Engine or the application.

Thanks for the suggestions but they are both installed. I attempted re-register the dlls but for what ever reason that failed. I checked and they are the same version as on my Windows 2k computer.

Would it matter what format the images where in? I copyed using the clipboard images drawn in CorelDraw (vector graphics).

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried running this application on 3 windows 98 computers each with a different video card / hardware so I don't beleave all of them could have a driver problem. I did try many different resolution and color depth settings but again it still did not show up.

Any other suggestions? I'm totally lost as to what it could be:(((
