Why are Labview 8.0 Visa Errors descriptions reported as undefined? They do not exist in the error code database.

Roger,

As Dennis mentioned, LabVIEW will pull the error descriptions from the files contained in your <National Instruments>\Shared\errors\English directory. If you take a look inside the VISA-errors.txt file, you should be able to search for the error(s) for which you do not have a description. I would be interested to see if these errors are missing from your XML (txt) file.

Also, you mentioned previously that you are using version 2.6 of the VISA driver? The error messages do get updated periodically in more recent releases of VISA. We could search release notes for each version later than 2.6 to see if the codes you are missing were added at any point. However, it may be simpler to install the latest VISA driver (version 4.0) from the VISA Support page. Please let us know the result!
