We are building an application with an USB camera acquiring video and microphones acquire sound signals to build a sound field. The acoustic result is then combined with video/picture.
I am using NI vision software together with LABVIEW, the development work is completed and now we try to deploy the application on another computer (without any NI software).
We've purchased, installed and activated Vision Development Run-Time Engine, but our application does not work properly and cannot capture video. We downloaded and installed VAS (Vision Acquisition Software), now the application works, but VAS is in trial mode, asks for activation.
Do I have to purchased both Vision Development Run-Time Engine and VAS for a deployment on any single computer?
Thanks

See these options.
When you want to deploy an application then you need a (Vision) deploy license…

GerdW,
Thanks for your help.
We purchased VDM Runtime license (Part number 778044-35WM), and have activated VDM run-time engine successfully using the serial number, but we cannot activate VAS with the same serial number. Based on the link you provided, Vision Acquisition Software is included.
What went wrong?
Thanks.

GerdW,
I actually did contact the NI local sales support before I posted on the forum. I was not successful in getting an answer.
NI products are sold via agents here now (don't want to say where). I will try my luck with the agent who sold us the product tomorrow.

I'm not certain this is licensing related yet. What doesn't work? You said the video capture doesn't work, what errors are generated? Does your application have basic error handling? With MAX installed can you view the cameras.

I assume you are deploying your Vision application as an executable to another computer. When you deploy a LabVIEW executable to a PC without LabVIEW, you also need to install the LabVIEW Run-TIme Engine for your version of LabVIEW.
If your application involves LabVIEW Vision, then I believe additional licenses are necessary, one to support the "Vision, but not Acquisition" (such as image manipulation) image-processing code that has nothing to do with cameras, and (if you are using cameras) the driver software for the Camera. Sounds like you have the latter two -- are you possibly missing the first?

Hello, all,
I am very happy that the issue has been resolved.
The VDM deployment license does cover VAS, but for some reason, we could not activate VAS using the license serial number. The agent is able to generate an activation code, and now everything works perfectly.
Thanks again for your help.
