I am not a LabView programmer, nor any programmer.
But I was asked to make some minor changes to what appears to be a LabView program.
It was labeled as V11, but that could be there programmer's version number !
Could you help alter these older files that were created in 2011 ?
Could you tell me what it is ?
Could you tell me what version it is ?
Could you tell me anything about it ?
Would I be able to view and edit these with the non commercial LabView ?
And Thank you, Thank you, for your time and attention !

Well, I can tell you a few things:
Perhaps you could tell us more about how the application runs. Is it launched as an executable (exe)? Or is it being launched in a different way?
It would also be a good idea to contact the original author(s), if possible.

Looks like it's for monitoring a ship.
Most VIs are built in LabVIEW 8.2, Action.vi is built in 8.5
There are VIs missing.
No data acquisition VIs. It might use PLC or other way to do data acquisition.
No. You won't be able to use the non commercial LabVIEW to view or edit these VIs.

Can not locate the original author.
Yes, it is a ship monitoring system.
It has Siemens PCs and PLCs.
I believe it runs as an .exe
Forums limited my upload to 10 files.
I will zip all of the files I have.
Which includes the licensing numbers, not included in zipped files
Thank you

Another victim of the NI Marketing ploy, "It's so easy even an engineer can use it!" What they should've said was, "It's easier than ever to create bad code!"
Unfortunately, it was the former, and every non-technical manager picked up on that right away and expects that any engineer can change what took professional developers probably close to a year to produce.

Unfortunately that zip also appears to be incomplete (missing files). Could you perhaps look at the folder above the "Synoptiques" one you have zipped to see what else there is? You really need to zip the whole project from the root.

I think this should be all of it !
Well, not really ! File size is to big.
Well, I removed the Install folder and it is sizeable.
Thank you for your time, yet again !

I was able to run the install file not included in the previous zip file.
It installed on this PC, but only shows a runtime LabView 8.5.
I am guessing there is a development LabView program required !!!
Cheers again.

Well, an installer usually installs an executable with needed support files (like the RuntimeEngine)!
When you want to edit your source code then you need the development tool: install LabVIEW (in the needed version) and activate it with your license…

Hi Steve.
Looks like you've uploaded the built SuperVision application for Claire (exe) as well as some original VIs from the source-code (in the "Synpotiques" folder - these aren't used by the built application).
Based on what I can see, you are still missing all the sourcecode you would need to re-build this application with any changes.
Unless you can obtain all the original source-code, I'm afraid you are very much stuck regardless of whether you have a development license for LabVIEW 8.5.x or not.
You may need to explore whether the change you need to make can be done in an alternate way without modifying the application. You didn't describe that in your original post, but if it is to fix hardware-related problems (such as preventing an alarm from going off that doesn't exist any more) then there may be a hardware-related hack that can be put into place as an alternate solution.
