Webserver question LV 7.0

Hi,
with LV6.1 i succesfully used the webserver feature. On the PC which acted as a server i installed the Runtime engine (6.1) and an the executable. On the other PC's i also installed the runtime engine (6.1) I could only use one client at the time (no more licence). Now i use LV7.0 (PDS) and should be able to connect 5 clients to my server. Do i only have to update my Labview runtime engine from 6.1 to 7.0 on my PC's to be able to use 5 clients?
I allready tried to convert my .exe from 6.1 to 7.0. On my development PC, with full Labview installed, i am able to connect 5 clients. When i try the same on a PC with only the runtime engine installed it doesn't work!
I hope anybody can help me,

regards,

Joop

Hi, All the executables you built will have one license. If you want more licenses, you can upgrade the system by acquiring more licenses, see www.ni.com/license.
Also make sure that you enable Remote Panel Support in the Installer Tab under the Advanced button. After installing the software on the target computer you must start the license server (start>Programs>national instruments>license manager) and you will need to start the applications webserver (tools menu>options>web server configuration), or copy the line WebServer.Enabled=True inside the Application.ini file that goes with your Application.

Hi Erik,

but as long as i use a vi, and not an .exe (and install the full Labview on the target machine) i am able to use more clients? The 1-client restriction is only for an executable i've build?
I was able to use more clients on my develope-PC; when my vi runs i am able to open 5 IE's and surf to the htm-page in the www-directory.
Does this work in 6.1 too or only from 7.0?

Hi Joop,

In LabVIEW 6.1 the Full and Professional Development systems contained a license for one remote connection. In LabVIEW 7.0 and 7.1 the Full contains a license for one remote connection and the Professional Development System contains a license for five connections.

Hi Erik,

Are you sure about the number of five clients?
If i run the vi on my PC, with the complete LV installed, it works fine; i can use 5 clients without a problem. But when i built a .exe i can only connect 1 client. When i start a second i get the license warning! I prefer to use a .exe.
I use LV7.0 PDS.
