WHILE texting String Control Enter Key Not adding new line

In the front panel when i run the VI i try to enter few lines of text in the string control. I notice that enter key is not working to add new line. What could be the reason

Have a look whether this property is activated.

In addition to the "Limit To Single Line" option on the control itself, there is a LabVIEW setting in Tools->Options and then the Environment page to "End text entry with Enter key".  If you a looking in the LabVIEW.ini or an application's configuration file, the key for this option is "returnKeyAction".  If you do have this option enabled, you can use Ctrl+Enter to put in a new line.
