Visa problem with leopard (OS X 10.5)

Hi

I want to use Labview 8.2 student edition with leopard. I want to use visa to
read data from an usb-rs232 dongle. The problem ist I can't configure visa.

Everytime I run "NI-VISA configuration" I get the error:
Connot launch Java application

Uncaught exception in main method:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Applications/National Instruments/NI-VISA/NI-VISA Configuration.app/Contents/Resources/Java/libVisaEnetConfig.jnilib:

I did a fresh installation of leopard and labview.

I tested another java application and it is running. So I don't think this is related to the java VM.

Any idea what is wrong?

As far as I can remember the student edition is quite limited and can not communicate with any device (it may have changed), check this on NI website 😉

Have you been able to communicate through VISA with a device with another version of OS X and LabVIEW student edition  ?

It worked with Tiger.
I think I found one problem. Using a current visa version (4.2) solves this problem.
Now Labview crashes when I do a masscompile but this is another problem.
