Visa error code 1074001663, 1073804246

Hello,

I am getting error codes 1074001663 or 1073804246 when trying to address an instrument connected to COM 1 (WIN 2000, Labview 6.1). I can not find this error code listed.

I appreciate any help.

They could be instrument specifc errors. Are you using a driver? If so, for what instrument?

Hi,

this is the error message:

Error - 1074001663 occured at MnTi7195 Data Write
Read time out errored for the Titrino - no response
Possible reason A time out error occured while writing to the Titrino no
response was recieved in 10 sec

I am not sure but i think the instrument is just not responding. The error code will not help much.

Do you have any communication ?

If no, check your VISA settings, and your instrument settings too.

And verify that you are using the correct type of serial cable. If you are using a null-modem cable, switch to a straight-through and vice versa. You might also want to try using Hyperterminal to verify communication first.
