Version NI VISA runtime engine to install?

Which version NI VISA runtime engine should I install? Are they tied to a specific version of LabVIEW?

I see that the latest is NI-VISA 15.0.1. I am using LabVIEW 2013.

You should be fine with that combination.

But my question is are you really trying to install a NI-VISA runtime, or the full NI-VISA driver?  You generally only install a run-time on a machine that is not going to have a development system and only going to have an executable you built in LabVIEW on a different development PC.

Thank you. That was the information I was looking for. It's primarily a runtime environment, but for the times it isn't I'll install the full environment.
