VI became broken during build process

Yi:

I have well over 100 .net constructors in my code, so unless NI does not intend to fix this issue in 8.5, I will just wait for 8.5 to come out.

Thanks for your help and information!

Hi Joe,
The bug was reported, but unfortunately, I cannot guarantee if there is going to be a fix in the next release of LabVIEW, since the status of a bug can change pre-release.
If putting it off for a bit until the next release is an option for you, it doesn't hurt to see.  Otherwise, the work around should work.

My biggest worry in putting it off is that NI generally only supports the last 2 releases of LabVIEW, which when 8.5 comes out I believe will be 8.2 and 8.5.  If I'm stuck at 8.0, it is my understanding that my support will be significantly reduced for 8.0.

Hi Joe,
In terms of support, the support team always try our best to solve your issue if you call in, E-Mail or post on the forum.  So as long as your support contract is still valid, you can always contact us with any question you have.  8.0 will still be supported when the next version of LabVIEW is released.

Joe, don't worry about it being 'unsupported' NI support will answer your questions for the 2 latest LabVIEW major releases, meaning all 7.x and 8.x LabVIEW versions.  This (like all things) isn't exactly set in stone, so follow our official supported software list here.  With regards to future versions of LabVIEW, we thank all those who participate in the beta program but unfortunately, we cannot discuss any details of that software outside of the appropriate beta forums.  Anyway, it sounds like we are looking into your issue and will hopefully have it fixed in a future version of LabVIEW.  If you have any questions about how to find a good workaround for your current sw version, I encourage you to continue working with the LabVIEW forum community or to contact support directly.

Thanks a bunch,

Thanks, Travis.  I started this thread with problems in 8.2 hence the post to the public LabVIEW forum.  Should I transition it to the beta forum?
