V&V testing

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if someone can give me suggestions to put my software design through the V&V testing process. I have some resources, but I would like to read from experience.

My program does what it needs to for sure. Now, everyone programs differently; there is no ONE way of programming an application. Still, I would like to do this process to refine my code. What I am not very confident about is how my program uses system resources and the execution time. How do I check for that and what would be recommendations when I get results. Please advice. Thanks!
