Using "open VI reference"?

Hallo!

I want to use the function or node "open VI reference" to be able to get a subpanel.
question:
Exactly what do I insert in the "VI path" pin of the "open VI reference" function?

I used a string like this: C:\Documents and Settings\exjobb\Desktop\"VI-name"
I then get an error message that says "The VI is not in memory".

change the datatype of your input from string to path. there's more information in the online doc. (right click -> help on the "open VI reference" function).
