I had a similar issue with a particularly "ugly" TypeDef from the Vision library (I was passing this in and out of my own sub-VIs, and wanted something that was at least formatted neatly as a Cluster). I ended up creating my own, with the elements named identically but laid out and aligned much nicer. This has the additional advantage of letting me define the TypeDef, which means I can create an Icon for it. Did you know that if you put a Cluster Constant (say, as an input to Bundle by Name), if you right-click it the Cluster (ugly!) will be replaced on the Block Diagram by its Icon (pretty and informative)?
