Using a VM700T with Labview

I'm trying to use a Tektronix VM700T Video Measurement Set with Labview 5.1
through the GPIB and I'm having some problems. I need to know how to clear
the VM700T buffer at the beginning of the program to eliminate unneccesary
data. I also need to store results pulled from the VM in a spreadsheet (preferably)
or a text file. I've used a Read VISA to get the results, but have tried
everything I know to get a legible output to a spreadsheet, and cannot succeed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
