Using PCIe-6738 as a Function Generator

Hello!

I have recently acquired a PCI3-6738 board for the purpose of using it as a customizable function generator within the context of the DAQmx package. I have enough familiarity with LabView to read and write basic sinusoidal waveforms to the DAQ. What I am struggling with is how to configure .task files to produce more than a basic sinusoidal or DC input. For this application, the timing of several sine bursts is inherently crucial. Is there a way to generate a sine burst directly within this software package, or will I need to implement a different method of creating this waveform?

Please explain the term "sine burst" and timing of such bursts…
