Updating LV4.0 files to LV5.1

Hi:

I am a LabView 'newbie', and have inherited an older app from LabView 4,
with no one to support it. I am trying to open it, and some stuff opens,
other stuff doesn't. Any clues about a way to get at what might be going
on? It talks about version not having block diagram or something like that.

Mike,
If a VI does not have a block diagram then it can not be edited.
I think the VIs will still run but I am not sure.
Your choices are very limited.
1) Try to find the original vis that still have the diagram
2) try to figure out what they did and rewrite them
3) use them as is if possible.
4) contact NI and see if they can help you.
