Upconvert VI Requests

Hi,

I am a first time Labview-er and am using it to do a final year uni project. a friend has sent me his Labview files which are similar to the ones i need. the only problem is he made it in an older version and I need them converted to Labview 2010 (10.0) version.

i have attached 2 files. final_1.vi is the file i need converted and the zip folder contains hp8753x.llb which has the supporting files. or whatever the technical term is (I'm sure you guys know better)

🙂

I hope one of you can help..

Much appreciated

Shaz

Hi there,

I've attached the VI & the missing dll. Hope it can be converted now..

thanks

OLDAAPI32.dll is missing.

You do not need to have those DLLs in order to upconvert (or downconvert). Attached is the library in 8.2.

Hi Shaz,

you can open all these files with LV2010 as they are already in LV7.1 or newer...

So just open and save them with LV2010!

Best regards,
GerdW

@ Smercurio : why not?  a you just going to convert VI's with a broken wire?  Doesn't it give problems afterwards?

Kind regards,

So the errors I'm getting are not to do with version compatibility!

Lol time to re-assess.

Thanks GerdW

You do not need to have the DLL present in order to resave as a different version. When the VI is opened in the other version as long as the DLL is there it will relink.
