Underline 1 Boolean Character bug

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this.

I am trying to underline 1 character in my boolean text.

When I run this VI multiple times the boolean text alternates between underling 1 character and underlining the entire text.

Please advise

Dan Shangraw, P.E.

Hi Dan,

I ran the VI in LabVIEW 8.2, and I didn't notice the behavior you described - for me, the Boolean text remained underlined regardless of how many times I ran the VI.  Are you also using 8.2, or perhaps an earlier version?  Does it behave the same if you only set the FontUnder property once instead of twice?

I think Dan wants only to underline the first character of the boolean text. This seems impossible, even manually.

It looks like boolean text only accepts global attributes and cannot be addressed on a "per character" basis.

Hello,

I have only observed the behevoir in 7.1.

The reason I want to underline only 1 character is to associate hot keys to buttons.  Underlining the first letter tells the user what hot key is associtated with what button.  This seems to be a standard windows convention.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

That's a quirky bug in the code, but I was unable to reproduce it. Take a look at boolean underline test.vi. I've replicated your original code with another OK Button and was not able to underline the single character.

I found documentation mentioning this problem, though. Underline First Char 7.1.vi should produce the behaviour you're looking for.

Cheers.
