UnPacking Data from Serial Port

Hi, I ´m needing your help!!!

I ´m trying to unpack data from serial port, but i am having no success!!

I have a acquisition board that is controlled by a PIC 16F628A and I´m using  UART to send data to serial port.

In my acquisition , I have a star bit, 8 data bits, a flag and a stop bit. I want to separate those bits and use just 8 data bits, how can I do it???  How can I unpack the bit sequence??

Take a look into the "Basic Serial Write and Read" example. You can set the parameters for your serial port and modify the diagram if neccessary.
