Yeah, I noticed that too and tried what you suggested, with no luck. HOWEVER, I received some labview code from the manufacturer of the device I am trying to connect with and now it works. Attached is the code. It is almost IDENTICAL to the serial port example provided in LV 8. Oh well, something small I wouldn't have though of.
