I am doing the same thing by creating the a shared folder between PCs and copying files from client PCs to my server PC by just using file copy functions in labview executable(installed on server). All PCs are in Local network.
This work in the development environment and in executable too. It copies files at a regular interval of 20 Minutes.
The problem is when I leave this on in executable after a day or two it randomly stops copying. And strange thing is that when I debug the executable it starts copying again without changing anything(just need to connect to exe using labview). It is a part of bigger program but running in a separate loop independent of other objects.
I have checked the fiewall permissions from control panel and it has permissions for both public and private networks.
The server is running 24x7 but the clients PC turns off at night.
