Timed Pulse

I have a simple problem. I want to create a VI in which I will click a button which will turn on an LED for 5 seconds and then turn it off. What is the simplest way to do this?

JB34,

How accurate does the 5 seconds need to be?  What kind of hardware are you using to drive the LED?

Software timing is fine. The LED need not be hardware, I was asking about a simple front panel LED.

Hi JB34,

I attached a program which uses an event structure to detect the button push.  There is a sequence structure, including a 5000 ms delay, that changes the LED value.  The time stamps are just a reference for you to verify that five seconds elapsed.
