Temperature cycle counting

Hello again Stewert,

I have another quick question for you. Consider the following instance...

35>38>38>38>38>34

… surely, there is a 3 degree cycle (35>38>35) in there. Even though you didn’t record the point at which the petri dish reached 35 degree, it obviously would have passed that temperature while cooling to 34degrees.

Are you willing to ignore any values you do not explicitly record?

If so, it begs the question… what will you be doing with this data? Is it truly necessary? I am sorry for firing so many questions at you, but I am genuinely intrigued by the work you are doing!

I have attached a slightly remodeled version of your code. It was reorganised for my own sake really, but I thought you may wish to take a look. In particular, the use of a SHIFT REGISTERS (as opposed to the feedbacknode/multiplier combination) made the code much easier to understand.

Best wishes to you Stewert, and thanks for your hasty replies!

Hi Rich

Im using the application to analyze growth patterns of bronchial epithelial cell lines. All i require is a "quick" solution!

Im actually using version 8.2. Is there a way to convert your VI to this version?

Apologies Stewert, I completely forgot which version you were using. Hopefully the attached file will be of more use.

Best wishes,
Rich
