Thanks to Mike for the document. I found it very useful. I was wondering how you made the utilities for write protecting all files when update? This seem like a very useful tool.  So you don't have to write protect all files manually when you perform an update.

Actually it wasn't very hard. You simply do a recursive search through the directory tree that contains your working copy for all files ending with .VI, .VIT and .CTL. LV has a function that allows you to set the write protection of files. See attachment...
