Tab Control Property Node gives a build error when used in a VI for LabVIEW PDA

Hello,

    Iam new to LabVIEW development & need help regarding this:

    We are trying to port a LabVIEW application from desktop to a Windows Mobile PDA. Please note that the LabVIEW application works fine on the desktop. In one of the VIs, a Tab control property node is used which gives a build error with LabVIEW PDA project. A sample VI which shows the problem & the error list snapshot is attached with this post. Can anyone please suggest an alternate approach to achieve the same functionality with LabVIEW PDA? Waiting for an early response from anyone...

I think a tab-control is not supported on the PDA target, one of the other two errors might be telling this.

    Am glad that i got a response, thanks. The following links indicate that Tab control is supported on PDA target:

    I feel that the Tab control property node that has been used in the VI (which is attached earlier) may not be supported on the PDA target. Can u (or any LabVIEW expert) suggest an alternate approach to achieve the same goal with LabVIEW PDA (changing colour of Tab control pages programatically)??

    I had missed out some details earlier: We are using LabVIEW 8.5 PDA module on a Windows Mobile PDA.

Tab controls are supported on the PDA. I use them all the time. However, some property nodes are not yet fully supported. What version of LabVIEW are you using?

    Thanks for ur response. Version of LabVIEW that we are using: LabVIEW 8.5 Professional Development System for Windows Vista/XP/2000 and LabVIEW 8.5 PDA Module for Windows Mobile.

    Since u have used Tab Control on PDA, i feel u may have come across the same situation i.e. as indicated in the attachment "VI_Error.zip". Can u please suggest me some solution so that i can get this working on the PDA? FYI, the only additional tool that i have installed on the PDA is installation of NI-VISA support. Should anything extra be done to get this working?

Hi Subhashini,

Tab controls are supported in PDA applications, but different colored tabs are not.  You can find a list of supported properties in LabVIEW Help under "Tab Controls (PDA Module, Touch Panel Module)."

i think you can use design elements like an rectangle. But unfortunately it is not possible to change the hole tab with it.
