Symultanious measurements

Hi ,

I need to modify this file to have two analog inputs (voltage) using one DAQ assistant device ( NI USB 6009). But I have no idea how do that. I have been reading a lot about and was trying to learn from different examples but so far unsuccessful. If some one can help me with that it will be a lifesaver.

Thank you

It's really simple. If you are starting with a new DAQ Assistant, you just do what it says underneath the Physical Channels list. It says to hold down the CTL or SHIFT key to select multiple channels. If you already have an Assistant, double click on it and click on Add Channels on the toolbar. If you need to process them separately, then you can use the Split Signals function.

Thank you so much for replying. I tried do that but the thing is it does not read signals from both instruments when i dod it that way i believe i need to make a modification in labview programme. would you mind having look at this programme it if it is not too much of a trouble. I'm a just a analytical chem. student and it is difficult to understand most of the terminologies they use in labview

I did look at it. You just have to do what I said. double click the assistant. Click on the Add Channels at the top of the DAQ Assistant screen. Select Voltage, Select the new channel you want. Click OK. Run the VI.

Hi,

I did as you told it gives following error.
This wore connects one or more data sinks but has no source
A wire must be connected to one and only one data source, such as a control's terminal or a function output. This wire is not connected to any source, although it has one or more sinks.  You must add a source, perhaps by changing an indicator to a control

Will you please tell me what should i be doing next. I will attach the file with the error
Thank you

I don't know how you managed to do that. The wire somehow got disconnected from the data output of the assistant. Just delete the whole wire and reconnect from the data output to the chart indicator and the write lvm function.
