SubVI - VI Update ? Graph, Intensity graph.

I have a subVI which calculates data that is to be displayed in an intensity graph as it gets updated. I want to display the same intensity graph on my main VI to show the progress and update. I've tried using global variables, but it doesn't work well. Any suggestions ?

You need to use references and the "value" property of a property node.  Pass a reference to your subvi on your intensity graph, and wire the value of the intensity graph in the subvi to the value property of a property node.

Thanks for the reply. I am sorry I am not understanding it right. I have an intensity graph on my main VI and my sub VI. Do you want me to pass a intensity graph control reference from my main VI to the  control reference of the intensity chart in the subvi (and) wire the intensity graph to "Value" property node ? Thanks. This works. The intensity graph in my subVI can be stopped by a STOP button. Can I have a stop button on my main VI to stop the graph update in the subVI ?

Yes...  Use the references in the same way, but with a boolean control, and wire the "Value" property of the boolean in the subvi to the "Stop".

Sorry, I should've been more specific.  See attached, this should be what you're looking for.  Since the "Value" property is a variant, you have to chage it to boolean, and then wire that straight into the "Stop".

Thanks !! Works cool. By the way have you used ActiveX with IE in LabVIEW a lot ? IF so, would you happen to know how to control the cacheing of activex - IE ? Thanks

No, sorry, haven't used that stuff much at all.  I have seen a number of posts regarding activeX and IE though...  might want to have a boo around the board to see what's out there.
