I would start with the example I already mentioned. I think this generates a continuous pulse train. You can then experiment with the instrument's front panel controls to determine how to generate a single pulse if that is what you need. I think the functions you need are on the Configure>Operation Mode palette. Look at the different burst functions. they have a burst count input that may do what you want.
