Once a LabVIEW program is built into an executable using the application builder, it is no longer possible to edit the program. All diagrams have been removed.
You need to contact the original programmer for the source code.

Hi,
You need to approach the the creator/developer who is responsible
for that .exe. Its similar to building executables in other languages .
This is irreversible but you have an option in LabVIEW to run that
Exe . U can call that Exe while running it.

Hey Patha,
You could call the Exe from Labview and also may be pass the arguments and parameters if enabled.
this VI does the function of executing an other Exe . you could find this in the connectivity tab / system exec.vi

Sundar.

OK... and how does this allow the person to retrieve the block diagram, which is what the poster was asking about.
Hi ,
one wouldnt be able to see or retrive the code behind the Exe but only run that exe with the help of this vi.

Sundar,
Still you ve NOT answered smercurio_fc's question, I think... ![]()

Hi Partha,
I think I know what Sundar is talking about.
Prior to LV 8.0 You could write a VI in the same version as the exe and while the exe is running do a "get all VI's in memory".
From the names of the sbu-VI and the names of controls and indicators, guess at how the app works.
No, you can't get at the diagrams.
