Settings window for LabVIEW Applcation

Hello,

I want to create an application where I have a subvi open in a separate window where I can enter some values. I then want to click on a save Button to close the subvi front panel and save (send) the entered values to the corresponding controls in the main vi.

So far I wasn't able to find any examples or tutorials to achive this. Maybe someone can help me.

Hi Mitarbeiter,

what is your problem?

• Do you have problems calling a subVI?
• Do you have problems sending outputs from the subVI to the mainVI?
• Do you have problems setting/changing values in controls?

What have you tried and where are you stuck?

I have problems sending the values from the subvi to the mainvi and then closing the frontpanel. I can either get the data to send but the FP wont close automatically, or I can get the FP to close on pressing save but then I dont get the data to the mainvi.

I have tried to use case structures, event structures and even flat sequences in various arrangements, none of wich have worked so far.
