Serial port initialization proble

Hi,

I just can´t make the COM1 port alive 😞
I tried with the "LabVIEW <-> Serial.vi, and this doesn´t work too. At initialization of the port, I get the following error code:
-1073807202
This code cannot be foud in the LV database.

Any idea?

Thanks

What kind of machine are you running on?  If Windows, can you open the port using Hyperterminal?  Is this serial port a plugin card or part of the PC?

Hi

This is an on-board serial port. I tried with AccessPort (cool port monitoring tool), and I see the data flow, while an exe is running and sending data to the COM1 port. Why doesn´t it work with the LV example???

That error means : A code library required by VISA could not be located or loaded.

You don't have VISA installed.

Mitulatbati: Did you search the forum according to your problem? There would have been lots of already existing threads on this topic (for instance this one: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=207146&query.id=127907#M207146).
