Separating data using PCI 6204E DAQ PC Card.

I'm using PCI6204E series DAQ but the problem is I only got one signal
conditioning and I got four input signal.
I intend to use a timing circuit to separate the input where the
second input come in the signal conditioning a few second after the
first signal.

Can I make a subVI to separate the data coming from the PCI Card
timingly according to the timing that i set at the sensors.

Hafidz,

I strongly urge you to consider some SCXI multiplexing or other multiplexing hardware. The time and energy you expend writing equivalent software will be more of a price than you will want to pay. Unless you are in a financial fix, and can just throw a programmer at the problem (which costs MUCH more than hardware by the way), you should consider the hardware.

If you need to use software, you should try to get in some kind of timing signal in order to synchronize the signal. If it were me, I would simply send a digital pulse in conjunction with one of your signals to another analog line, and use that to determine where you were in the data.

Hope that helps.

Hello;

Even if you manage to have a VI doing that task, I don't think the performance of the DAQ task will be good.

The best way to go about that is to purchase a multiplexer and hook that up to the DAQ device. To get more information about the multiplexers NI has available, go to www.ni.com/catalog and type in SCXI.

Hope this helps.
