Self calibration

Hi,

I am using the NI-9211 modules to measure voltage from a pressure transducer. A pressure transducer requires to be calibrated using a dead-weight tester so that we can obtain a linear equation which will be introduce in NI-DAQ. In other words, convert voltage to pressure. However, the reading I am getting in NI-DAQ is slightly different from the reading given from the Voltmeter and this induces an error (at zero pressure gauge). Is there a way I could use the dead-weight tester and calibrate my pressure transducer directly in NI-DAQ instead of an external voltmeter? I've noticed there is an self-calibrate option in NI-DAQ but I can’t select it for some reason.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you

Glenn

Hi Glenn,

You can't perform self calibration with the 9211 or any C-series module. You can however easily create a custom scale for you DAQmx task by highlighting it in Measurement and Automation Explorer and selecting "Create new..." from the Custom Scaling combo box.

Hi Jon B,

Thank for your reply. However the option 'self calibation' is not available in NI 9211. In other words i cannot select it for some reason! Is there a driver missing?
