Save string/numeric value

Hello!
How can i do for save a value of a variable so i can use it in future? I have an output string from a case structure moved by an OK botton. I want to save the string value when i press the ok botton...

Just write the string to a text file.  When you want to use it later, read the text file.

If you only need local use, save it in a shift register in your main process loop or just as a wire to the new use location.  Run the shift register wire through both cases of the case structure.  Replace its value in the button pushed case.

You can use the Configuration File VIs. Take a look at the Help file and at the examples for these VIs.
