If you have a good budget, I suggest you to purchase the NI LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit.  You can use it for trial period of 30 days, it is pretty easy to use.  I remembered a few months go where I did not know anything about LabView but needed to work on a project required log data from DAQ to a database, I used this toolkit.

LabVIEW Open Source Tools (L.O.S.T.) is a freetool, lot of people use it also but I do not know if it supports new version of LabView (2009, 2010, or 2011).
