SMS to what kind of cell service? some cellphone operators offers a sms-email service where you can send an email to a specific address and then it is redirected to a particular cellphone through a gateway. If this is ur case you can use the email object.

I've done SMS from labview to a **UK** network mobile for a number of years.
Cellnet aka Gennie aka Bt-cellnet aka MM02 (for the moment) offer free email/pop accoutns that have a free email -> SMS service.

So using one of the freely avliable email vi's for labview I send an email to my MM02 account and got the message on my Mobile within 10mins or so.
You mobile can b e with any of the major UK networks and still get the sms free.
