SCXI 1100 MultiChannel Problem

Unsure if my problem is a hardware or S/W problem or setting:

Configuration: Labview 7.0, MAX (unsure), SCXI 1100 (three modules), SCXI 1303, 6034E DAQ card.

The problem: 10 kHz hardware/SW filter: mulitple channels (~4) are posssible with huge standard deviation. For 4 Hz hardware/SW filter: multiple channels possible with excellent signal to noise, but there is interference in the chanels. For example: if I have three thermocouples, if I increase the temperature in one, all three increase at the same time.

Troubleshooting: It wasn't module depenant - changed between all three modules and the same trend occurs. Changed all MAX and DAQ assitant settings correctly. Reset PC to ensure valid test point.

By my calcuation: a 200 kS/sec card should produce at least 1000 samples per second if I used all the 96 Channels in the SCXI 1100 with Windows taking about half of the original card potential.

Appreciate any help,

Zubes

Hi Zubes,

Look Carefully at the data sheet of the SCXI-1100:
"SCXI-1100
• 240 kS/s at full bandwidth, with gain up to 100
• 6.6 kS/s maximum10 kHz filter
• 3 S/s maximum 4 Hz filter"

Hope it Helps...
