I have no idea where this question would fit in.
I use an SCXI 1000 chassis and a PC with Labview and need some help finding a suitable rolling steel cart that can be used as a work station for programming as well.
I currently use an EliTech audio/video display cart with casters and it's not good enough for fit/function of all the equipment, and me trying to type and program etc (my version has a keyboard tray under the top shelf).
What do you guys use? I'd like the SCXI to on top so I can get to the cards etc and make it easier on myself to program with a decent ergo cart.
Thanks
Darren

At a job years ago we had a steel enclosed computer cabinet we'd put the computer, motion control, and acquisition equipment into; then mount a small A/C unit to the side. Had a glass window we strapped the LCD monitor to and a shelf for keyboard/mouse in front of that window.
Back door opened up, had a dust/water gasket around it, and the entire thing was on wheels (this thing weighed a ton when we were done cramming components and wire into it). The scanner we built was essentially a large bathtub with sensors, pneumatics, and motors in it so water splashing around was a very real concern. Almost all of the I/O went through circular connectors we installed on the side of the cabinet.
Looked similar to this one: http://www.dsidirect.com/en/mobile-enclosed-computer-cart,58,pcp,119,72,c,33

These are really nice and are made of heavy gage steel. They also have filtering and heater and cooler that you can get as addons.

Build/select a solid rolling station, and make yourself comfortable via ethernet and Remote Desktop. That makes sure you don't get beverages near your precious equipment. You could be within a meter or so, and still be very ergonomic to yourself. I have found that programming standing isn't that bad.

PS such a question would better fit on 'breakpoint'

My desk. - I try not to program with equipment in the loop but from specifications. Although I sometimes use a temporary hook-up to test and debug my code
"code by intention" is my motto

Hah! That's the ones we used. Yes, they're real heavy-duty and work great.
Been about 6 years since I've worked where we used those.
Equipto's anohter manufacturer that makes mobile carts (among other enclosures/cabinets), been impressed with the durability of the small rackmount cabinets I've purchased for test systems here.
