Resizing a Picture question

Hi every one,

just curious to know whether it's possible to resize a picture whish was
open with Read Jpg file
I've used Write jpg file and used the input "quality" which doesn't really
resize the picture!

Yes, I've just done this. You can set the origin and the size using property nodes

Thank you for your reply. However, I can't solve my problem since the "Write
jpeg.vi" has no property node
I use LV 7.1

It's the picture that has the property node. Right click on the picture's terminal and create / property node and choose the size and origin properties.

Hi Gérard,

LabVIEW doesn�t ship with a VI that makes you resize your image, but you can create a VI that can do it yourself by deleting unwanted pixels in the 2-D pixmap. Use the "Unflatten Pixmap.vi" to get the 2-D pixmap of your image.

I couldn�t help myself, so I created a small example that reduces the size of in image by a given factor (see the attached ResizeImage.vi).

I get it! thank you John. But the finall step would be to write this new
resized file?

Philip C. replied that LV has no vi to resize picture and then re-write
this files and gave me some hints to do so with "Unflatten Pixmap.vi"

I'll have a try that way.
