No dont' say bug!

We don't want the Edit menu "fixed"*.

Let's just keep this a secret. Smiley Wink

* When I reported that execution highlighting does not work correctly for the State Diagram Editor when two SDE's were open, it got "fixed" by disabling the possibility of opening two SDE's at the same time. Bugs an the edge of use-land will often get fixed by moving the edge of the world closer to the center.

While we're on the subject, has anyone else noticed that when you're customizing an Array control, the bounding box on the Array Index control seems to act strangely?  It seems to be impossible to resize it arbitrarily, and I have sometimes found that after expanding it horizontally, I can't shrink it by dragging continuously: I have to drag, then stop, then start dragging again, and so on.  The latter is a minor inconvenience; the former is irritating.

So, then, perhaps the "bug" is NI forgot to disable the Edit->Customize Control menu item instead of not providing the Advanced->Customize context menu item.  Of course, if they ever disabled this, I would be extremely unhappy haveing to save changes to a subcontrol in a one-off custom control.

After another look, it seems that is not the case; if you edit a cluster or set of radio buttons, you can still right-click any of the controls therein and still get to the Customize menu item.

There are cases where it is there.  Any cluster will have it.  I believe the element of an array also has it.  More concerning for me is the cases where they don't have it and the functionality is there.  If they had put the customize menu item on the context menu, you most likely would have never posted your question, because you would have seen how to do it.  I stumbled across it by pure will when I was attempting to customize something years ago and noticed the Customize Control menu option was available.

In the cases of clusters and arrays (I think radio boxes are a special form of cluster), those don't really have what I have been referring to as subcontrols (except for the array index).  Controls which happen to be containers for other controls do show the context menu for the controls which they contain.  I do not believe any subcontrol (a control which is part of a control primitive?) has the menu option available.
