Remote high voltage enable/disable

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi, I have got a DAQ SCB-68 board. I would like to establish a high voltage ON OFF options in LabView to be able remotely turn ON and turn OFF the high voltage for a cold cathode power supply (the manual is attached, see pp. 24 and 25), but I honestly do not know how to do it. Can anybody give me a tip please?

The first thing you will have to do is get an actual DAQ board. The SCB-68 is just a dumb terminal block. Get a board that has digital outputs, wire one of the digital lines to pin 9 per page 24, drive the line high or low (True/False) with the DAQ Assistant or lower level DAQmx functions.

Thank you very much, Dennis. Do you have a suggestion for me which DAQ board I shall buy (the cheapest one)?

NI has the 6008 and for students, myDAQ. Other vendors might be suitable. Depends on what else you might want to use it for.
