Red outline around my code.

I was writing some code and by accident I did something and now I have a red outline around my screen and when I stop with the stop button the screen flashes and it goes into pause mode. How did I turn this on and how can I turn it off? Thanks in advance I am using Labview 2011

Thats a break point that you've managed to put around the whole VI.  Use the break point tool to undo it.
