Real time boot drive

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I'm trying to make a real time boot drive with my for my project. The way I'm doing it is:

Measurement & Automation Explore >> Tools>>Real time desk utilities>> Create Desktop PC utility USB drive>>version 2010sp1.

But I'm getting this error:

"Unable to detect USB drives."

I tried 8GIG, 4 GIG and 1 GIG flash drives and got the same error. Also, I removed any other USB drives from my computer while doing this.

Do you know how to deal with this error?

Saji

Thanks,

Hello Saji,

Are you working with a USB 2.0 flash drive and USB 2.0 port?  Is this a laptop you are working with?  Many laptops have unpowered USB ports that may be causing the drive to not be recognized.   Additionally, USB 3.0 could be causing some issues with detecting the drive.  Let us know!

You have to find a different PC/Laptop which works with this program. There's no workaround.

Once created, just swap the ETS files to the latest version from any PC.

I'm using USB2 on PC. That's interesting that I tried a laptop and I worked for me. 🙂
