We are a company specializing in real-time DSP cards for data
acquisition and control using LabVIEW. We are considering our next
generation of products, and we ask the people who use LabVIEW what is
most missed in real time hardware for LabVIEW programming.
Our current products include DSP based Analog I/O that can be programmed
with LabVIEW, implemented as PCI, ISA, or PCMCIA card formats. Some
products under consideration for future development are DSP/LabVIEW
interface/libraries using USB/Ethernet-IP/firewire (which ones?),
allowing the user to "hot-plug" the hardware after running the embedded
program developed within the LabVIEW environment. We're hoping this
could allow the devices to run real-tim
e LabVIEW programs for control,
communications signal generation, etc. without having an attached PC
since our existing LabVIEW libraries are embedded/resident on the DSP.
Our set of DSP embedded/resident libraries that run under LabVIEW is
called QuVIEW.
Is this something that people who use LabVIEW would like to use? Any
suggestion on what potential product line would best address this issue
will be very helpful.
