Solved!

I am trying to suppress the first pulse. Is it possible to suppress this pulse? If so what icons would I need to use to supress the pulse. I though of compression?

Your signal looks like a filter artifact, but there could be a lot of other reasons for this spike ( i would call it over shot).

So what are you expecting?

Only a slowly changing DC value?

How are you capturing your data?

What filter do use?

VI?

Simple method: Capture more data and cut 🙂

Second look on the picture:

What is it?

Timescale?

And why do you what to remove it?

There are a lot of vis that could do the job,  you mentioned you want to remove the signal.... so wire a NaN constant to the diagram input 😄

The signal is a true signal. But "YES" I was asked to suppress the signal. It opposes everthing I believe in but orders are orders.

Look like some humongous overshoot.  I can't speculate on why the powers that be want to fake this.  Sounds kind of fishy to me.  Wouldn't they rather try to physically filter it out instead?  😞

Just don't sign off on any paperwork.  Make your boss do it.  😉

You are 100% correct. If I did not need the job I would tell the ME to fix his valve. This happens allot. I should have stock in Tylenol.
