Hi,
I took another look at this and my first post was not the information you need.
You should have the same versions of the DAQ driver and Measurement and Automation (MAX) on both your desktop as well as the laptop.
If you are using Windows 95 on one machine, there is a workaround that allows Traditional NI-DAQ 6.9.3 to work with LabVIEW 8.0.

Hi RQsz,
Are both computers connected to the same subnet? A good way to check this is by pinging one computer from the other. Another possibility is that a password is setup. If so, could you temporarily disable it try to connect to the server? One final thing that I want you to do is double check the knowledgebases and make sure that the Traditional NI-DAQ drivers are installed specifically to those instructions. Please let me know what you find out and if you are able to connect to the RDA server.
Regards,
Hal L.
