Property node label alignment problem

Hi all, can someone please help and explain why all of a sudden i have a problem when pasting a property node down onto my block diagram.

The label is no longer vertically compressed with the node itself and i have to manually move it each time.

Please see the attached screenshot as an example of this problem.

Thanks for any help,

Grant

In addition to my original post, i believe the problem is due to the fact that i have used a carriage return in the control text label.  Therefore creating a double line name.  But i still dont know how to fix this glitch and have alot of property node to create.

Thanks,

That is odd behavior, and I think it bears looking into to determine if it's a real bug.

As for suggestions for you: Use the control's caption for all that information, rather than making a label like that. Keep the label for the control simple, and you can make the caption whatever you want.

Hey Guys,

I am able to replicate this issue, as shown in the following screencap.

I agree that this seems to be a bug - not a show stopper by any means, but if NI is able to resolve the issue then that is exactly what we should do. I have created a corrective action request with our R&D deprtment. If you want to follow this up with a product suggestion, please fel free to do so via the following link.

I do believe that Sercurio has offerred some great advice regarding the use of captions. The idea is that you should keep short, concise decriptions in the owned lables; then make the captions as desriptive as required.

The added benefit is that ONLY labels appear on the block diagram - so the graphical source code is not clutterred up with lengthy captions. Win Win!
