Project Explorer will not open.

I am using LabVIEW Professional Development System Version 8.0.1. Any attempts to open the Project Explorer causes LabVIEW to close. If I select build executable from Tools it causes LabVIEW to close. Any suggestions?

Did you try to repair the installation or uninstall/reinstall?

Ran repair and that did not work. Uninstalled/Reinstalled Labview and the problem is still there.

There is a KB article that is similar to your problem, but it references LV 8.2. That article claims that a corruption of a data folder in MAX could cause the Project Explorer in LabVIEW to crash. Note that the article says may. Seems somewhat dubious to me, but you may want to look over it.

The reference articles were a great help. The NI Configuration Manager would not start. I ultimately had to delete the MAX configuration file and start over. Project Explorer now works. Thank you very much!!!

Then please mark S-mercurio's reply as the solution rather than your own thank you message.  If you go to the Options menu to the upper right of your message, you'll be able to unmark your message as the solution first.
