Problems with LabVIEW DSC and computer stand-by function

I have a serious problem when using any LabVIEW DSC VI on an HP Omnibook XE3 notepad (LV 6.1 and DSC 6.1, w98se o.s., PIII 850 MHz, 128 Mb RAM); I verified that when I launch LabVIEW and use any function of the DSC (i.e. if I use any VI that use any function of DSC), the stand-by function of my PC does not work properly until I reboot it; to be more specific, the PC goes regularly in stand-by mode but it hangs completely when I try to restore the normal operation.

Note that this problem happens even if I close LabVIEW and any service of DSC prior to put the PC in stand-by mode.

I think the problem is generated by one (or more) of the modules lkads.exe, lkcitdl.exe and lksvr.exe that are part of the DSC toolset
; infact I verified that when I shut down these modules, the stand-by function works properly (after the installation of DSC these modules are launched by default at the o.s. startup and if I don't disable them the stand-by function does not work at all, even if I don't use LabVIEW DSC).

Thank you very much for any comment on this problem!

Frada

Those services are used to send information to the citadel database, and are necessary for LabVIEW DSC. You may want to try installing NI's latest version of these services to see if that solves your problem.
